They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. Who said that? The ancients of course. Our ancestors knew the distinction between the physical and spirit worlds as perceived with the eyes. With our first eye we can see from on high, which is where the name Heru originates. The Greek translation Horus is where we term the word horizon. Where is Horus on the horizon? As the hawk glides across the sky, it is able to observe all that is below from east to west. The enlightened Heru-Ur is able to see with Divine consciousness; with third eye vision, and has become master of his earthly self.
Heru represents the Divine masculine, while Hetheru represents the physical or earthly aspect of the Divine masculine, or House of Heru. He is the personification of every human’s potential to know the self. The anatomical brain materializes our human ability to experience this life through our senses. Each part of the Eye of Heru (Horus) corresponds with the part of the brain connected to that sense, and its function. Sacred geometry is the key to understanding the Hequat fraction’s application to The Eye of Heru (Horus).

The Hequat fraction corresponds to the six senses. Our senses surround the mid brain, the corpus colostrum (Cureous 2019). This section of the brain outlines the Eye of Heru (Horus). The corpus colostrum is where we receive the oil from the central nervous system, which regulates both hemispheres of the brain. Our mission is to regulate these masculine and feminine energies in our everyday lives. The left eye represents the lunar energy and the right eye is sun or Ra energy. In our decisions, it is the constant application of possibilities. Our choices span the spectrum of duality, which is where were get the word, dual.

It is the fight between good and evil. Heru (Horus) is the manifestation of good and Set is the manifestation of evil. We can use any dual forces to identify the Law of Polarity here. Light and dark, or day and night are applicable to Heru and Set as well. Set gouged Heru’s eyes out so he could not see his way. Their struggle lasted three days according to Sebai Dr. Muata Ashby of Florida. He explains, in his book “Egyptian Tantric Yoga” how Horus earned the throne from his uncle Set to become the “Winged Sundisk”, and “all encompassing Divinity”. He quotes:
Horus defeated Set by becoming Ur-Uatchit. The sacred form of
Ur-Uatchit, the winged sundisk with two urei, symbolizes the goddess
Nekhebet on the right and the goddess Uatchet on the left. Thus it was
decreed by Djehuti that the Ur-Uatchet should be seen decorating
every temple as a protection from evil.
From the Osirian Resurrection Myth
Hekau 176b (Dr. Ashby 2003, p. 161)

Hathor restores the left eye of Ra to Heru (Horus). His left eye represents feminine receptive energy of the moon. Hathor, who becomes his feminine counterpart, is the goddess of love, fertility, passion, and power. She helps to restore Ma’at, so Heru (Horus) would not be binded and blinded from the truth. So throughout the day he is able to see the light and shine from morning til sunset over Upper and Lower Kemet (Egypt).
Heru (Horus) becomes yet another version of himself; Smai Hero-Set, in other words, union of the two. For us, it is Smai-Taui, the union of the Higher and Lower self. “Self knowledge is the basis of all true knowledge” (Dr. Ashby, 2003, p. 40-41). Heru (Horus) is identified in different manifestations at different times in his life. It is only when he balances his lower and higher nature does he become master of himself and master of earth.

As the sun currently transits the sign of Libra, conjunct or beside Venus, we are encouraged to consider the balance in our lives. Libra is on the same axis as Aries where Jupiter (Heru/Horus) sits with Chiron, the wounded healer. The combative martian energy of Aries is expanded by Jupiter. Chiron is battling the dark forces of our minds and everyday society. This energy is aspected by Mars in Gemini which rules communication. Jupiter (Heru/Horus) offers us the potential to lighten up a little. We are asked to have compassion for ourselves and others.

On October 25th, 2022 there will be a solar eclipse in Scorpio; producing more Martian energy. This energy can be channeled for our highest good or lowest intentions. If we channel this energy for our highest good, we can dig deep and elevate our minds to a new level. The result is balance of our masculine and feminine energies for a view of both horizons. In our darkest hours we can transpose the letters to make Horus, and transmute the energies to see things from a higher perspective like Heru-Ur.
Gods are immortal men, and men are mortal Gods.
